Drive Safety

Do not abruptly change lanes while driving. Show other motorists the indicators that you want to change lane or take turn . In case if your indicators are not working for any reason please use hand signals.

  • In case of brake down, take help and try to push the car to the side of the road as not to disturb the other motorist. Turn on the hazard warning lights to indicate a brake-down.
  • It is unsafe to leave the keys hanging in the ignition switch if the driver of the vehicle is not in place; specially if the children are in the vehicle. Do maintain sufficient gap between your car and the car ahead of you, this enables you to stop in time if urgent braking is required
  • Check that no object you are carrying is kept loose or unsafe. In an urgent braking or in a road mishap it may hurt you or any pedestrian.
  • Be courteous to give way to an Ambulance. Do understand that there may be a patient in the vehicle to whom even a minute's difference may cause death. This is applied even to the fire brigade.
  • While moving in the city or on the Highway, avoid using the High Beam headlights, if the vehicles are upcoming from the opposite side. Because it obstructs from being seen by other motorist.
  • Before leaving for any place, ensure that all the indicator lights and operating gears are in working condition. Pay attention to the headlights and brake lights.
  • If you want to overtake on a two-lane national highway or a narrow road, give signal to the approaching vehicle with two to three flickers of the headlight, whether it is day or night , to make him know your intention.
  • It really make sense if you obey traffic rules and signals. Obeying rules lets you on safe side and even your fellow motorists. They are meant for your benefit and to avoid confusion.
  • Avoid using mobile phone while driving, it is dangerous for both yourself and others. In case if it is must to speak on the mobile, it is better to stop the car over the roadside and speak. Or have a hands free attachment that comes on and switches off automatically.
